We just finished up Cheyanne’s treatment and we could not be more excited to share her orthodontic transformation with you! Cheyanne came into our St. George office a year and a half ago with a severe open bite. Her only points of contact were on her first and second molars, which made eating almost impossible. We informed Cheyanne that the only way to truly fix her open bite would be for her to undergo jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), in conjunction with her orthodontic treatment.

Cheyanne was hesitant about jaw surgery, but she knew that going through with it would completely change her life and her smile. She was so excited that she decided to begin her orthodontic journey the same day as her consultation! That day we bonded her braces on both her upper and lower teeth and began the initial aligning of her teeth.

When our patients need jaw surgery we have to make sure all the teeth are aligned and in the correct place before the surgery, this ensures that the surgeon can properly position the jaws to guarantee the best results for our patients.

After 15 months it was finally time for Cheyanne’s surgery and it went off without a hitch. Cheyanne now has the smile she has always dreamed of and we couldn’t be happier for her. We are going to miss seeing Cheyanne in our office, but we are so grateful for the opportunity we had to get to know her and to help her along her journey of getting the smile and bite she’s always wanted.
