Evan Moss, a St. George, UT native and former Desert Hills High School baseball player, was thrown one of life’s biggest curveballs. On September 29, 2016, one day after his 21st birthday, Evan was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his sternum and L3, L5 lumbar vertebrae. On Friday October 8, 2016 Evan had surgery to repair his collapsed lung and to drain the remaining fluid out of his lungs.  Unfortunately, the lung did not expand as they hoped for because of the cancer. On October 12, 2016 Evan started one of the many painful rounds of chemotherapy. The doctors have no idea how someone like Evan who is very young , non-smoker, active, and healthy got this cancer.
