This past week we were able to be guest speakers at Fossil Ridge and Sunrise Ridge Intermediate Schools. This is one of our all time favorite opportunities that we have been able to do for the past 3 years!
The science classes set aside a special day for us to come and teach the class. Each class period is divided into 3 classes and we have the students rotate between different presentations! This year our 3 rotations consisted of:
1. The importance of Oral Hygiene. We also outlined the anatomy of teeth, gum disease, and oral hygiene with braces.
2. 3D intraoral scanning with a hands on presentation
3. What is an orthodontist, and what to expect when visiting an orthodontist.
We are currently hosting a contest between the schools where students were given a pair of our #SmileforwardSunnies and asked to post a picture wearing them outside of school. 3 lucky winners will be chosen to win a $50 gift card!
We always have a blast spending the day with the kids and teaching them more about what we do, and why it’s important to take care of their teeth! Special thanks to the amazing teachers out there who help us make this possible!
